I want to increase the amount of practical therapy techniques that I’m putting out to people. Stuff that can help us move through a block or to just deepen our sense of being present. No academic language, just simply explained.
This is a powerful technique that just requires you to stand in front or a mirror for one full minute. You need to be able to see all of your face, fairly close up.
The exercise is to stand there and look at your face for sixty seconds without judging yourself in any way. Simply accept what you see. Take your face in, as fully as you can, but only in the spirit of acceptance. No good bits, no bad bits. Just accept.
It can be hard to do this. I find it hard. I am used to judging and forging impressions. Mostly my mind harbours on the negatives. It’s a good technique for me.
Please give it a try. I just did and once I’ve finished this mail I’m going to do it again. It’s good to practice transcending positive and negative judgments and just create at least some small space inside of us that can simply be present, accepting.
Thank you

Not easy Dev, but practice makes perf......neutral. thank you. 🙏
An extension to this is to pull various faces while you are doing it - this exercises and tones the important para-sympathetic cranial nerves (I made a list of these types of exercises which covers most of these nerves http://www.outthinkingparkinsons.com/articles/cranial-nerves )
