This Joke speaks volumes about The Endurer
This old joke, related by Osho, to me speaks volumes about The Endurer character structure. Have a read…
It's the 1980s and a game show host is asking an Englishman, an American and a Russian one question... "What does pleasure mean to you?"
The Englishman goes first. “Well, pleasure for me is driving my open-top Aston Martin at 100 mph without a care in the world.”
The American continues, "Pleasure for me is when my new company makes a million dollars a day and I'm sitting back chewing on a big fat cigar."
The Russian takes some while to answer and appears to be struggling. Eventually he speaks, “Pleasure for me is when I'm lying in my bed at two in the morning and the secret police bang on my door, saying ‘Is this the house of Ivan Ivanovich?’ And I lean out of bed and shout down the stairs, ‘Ivan Ivanovich lives next door!’”
